Eleni Smitham is a research associate with CGD's Global Health Policy team. Prior to joining CGD, she interned with the West and Central Africa Division at the International Fund for Agricultural Development in Rome and with the United Nations Development Programme's Africa Centre for Climate and Sustainable Development, also in Rome. She has spent time in Malawi researching food security and dietary diversity. Smitham holds a BA in International Studies and Spanish, with a minor in Health Studies, from Haverford College.
