Tom Drake is a senior policy analyst at the Center for Global Development (CGD). He works on global health economics, particularly in supporting evidence-informed decision-making in donor organisations and low- or middle-income countries as part of the International Decision Support Initiative (iDSI). Tom joined CGD from the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (formerly Department for International Development) where he advised on global health economics, including in response to Ebola and COVID-19, and led programmes to support research system strengthening in African countries. He was previously an Assistant Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford. He has a DPhil in health economics from the University of Oxford.
